IEEE COINS 2020: IEEE International Conference on Omni-Layer Intelligent Systems

Smart Healthcare Track

Barcelona, Spain | July 27-29, 2020Extended Deadline: March 25, 2020

The interaction between healthcare and technology has a rich history. However, the proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data technologies, the rapid worldwide development and public embracement of miniature wearable biosensors, as well as the emerging field of Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain, have vastly expanded the possibilities to fulfill many existing healthcare needs. The main advantages of this paradigm shift include the availability and accessibility (anytime, anywhere), the ability to personalize and tailor feedback based on individual biology and behavior, and cost-effective delivery. This special issue focuses on novel cross-layer techniques for smart eHealth and mHealth systems, by identifying new perspectives and highlighting impending research issues and challenges. In particular, this special issue addresses all important aspects of emerging technologies for smart healthcare-wearable sensors, body area sensors, advanced pervasive healthcare systems, and Big Data analytics technologies that are aimed at providing AI-driven eHealth interventions to individuals for healthier lifestyles
